How old does my child have to be to attend SEE Camp?

SEE Camp is for kids entering grades 1-8. Our Counselor-in-Training program is open to students entering grades 9 and 10.

What is the schedule, and when does camp start/end?

Organized activities run from 9AM through 4PM. A typical camp day includes one hour of science, one hour of Project Discovery activities, one hour of sports/recreation, one hour of swimming, one hour of theater, and one hour of art. We also offer extended supervision. Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30AM and picked up as late as 5:45PM (late charge imposed after 5:45).

What dates is SEE Camp open?

Session 1: June 29 – July 10 2020

Session 2: July 13 – July 24 2020

Both sessions: June 29 – July 24 2020

There is no camp on Friday, July 3 2020.

What sort of deposit is required?

A deposit of $185 is due at registration.

When is the deadline for registration and payments?

Registration and payments must be made no later than June 6, 2020.

What is the refund policy?

Prior to June 6, 100% minus the deposit will be refunded. From June 6 to the second day of camp session, 50% minus the deposit will be refunded. No refund is available after the second day of camp session.

How will my children travel to SEE Camp?

Transportation to and from SEE Camp is the responsibility of parents. SEE Camp provides transportation for field trips.

What times does AM Extended Care cover and how much does it cost?

AM Extended Care is 7:30AM – 9:00AM and costs $35 (per two-week session). Defined as dropping off before 8:45AM.

What times does PM Extended Care cover and how much does it cost?

PM Extended Care is 4PM to 5:45PM and costs $40 (per two-week session). Defined as picking up after 4:15PM.

Where will my children eat lunch?

Please send your campers with a lunch each day, except on pizza party days on the last day of each session.

Tax Credit

The cost of summer camp for children of single or two-parent working families may be applied against a child-care tax credit. The registration confirmation may be used for this purpose.

SEE Camp takes pride in providing truly exciting, memorable, and educational field trips. We offer one field trip during each 2-week camping session, with no additional charge for admission or transportation. Chartered buses are fully air-conditioned.

The Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in one of America’s leading historic, cultural, and educational institutions. The museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid, one of the most successful ships in U.S. history, and now a national historic landmark and one of the most unique attractions in New York City. The museum features a range of interactive exhibits and events providing a snapshot of heroism, education, and excitement.

July 13 – July 24 2020

SEE Camp takes pride in providing truly exciting, memorable, and educational field trips. We offer one field trip during each 2-week camping session, with no additional charge for admission or transportation. Chartered buses are fully air-conditioned.

Explore the seashore and salt marsh environment by collecting and exploring marine organisms and ecological concepts. It’s summer camp at the beach plus a whole lot more! Campers will love discovering just what the most productive ecosystem on earth – the salt marsh – has to offer. They will also love seining, sieving, shell collecting and hiking in this very special environment. A food web and watershed activity will also be included.
